About Reclaiming Rhetoric
Classical rhetoric, explained in the places people actually argue: feeds, ads, workplaces, and public claims.
The project
Reclaiming Rhetoric is a YouTube channel, a set of guides, and a few interactive courses with one job: help you read an argument carefully, then say something clearer in return.
The channel started in January 2026 with “From Aristotle to TikTok.” The videos work through the classical toolkit, from the rhetorical appeals and the five canons to Lloyd Bitzer’s rhetorical situation, and apply it to modern messages.
The work keeps coming back to four questions:
- What is the claim?
- What is holding it up?
- Who is it for?
- Does it follow?
How it works
Every video, guide, and course follows the same order: name a classical tool, show it inside a real message, then hand it to you to practice. The aim is intellectual substance without the jargon, so the ideas are usable the next time you read a post, an ad, or a pitch.
Where to go next
Read the articles, start with the Foundations guides (free 15-page previews), or try one of the courses.
Reclaiming Rhetoric is a brand of Harbor Launch LLC. Guides are sold and delivered on Gumroad.
Reclaiming Rhetoric is independent and reader-supported.
The videos and courses are free. If they helped, you can help keep them that way.
